Although Eric Mangini doesn't blame the Jets' 0-3 record on the West Coast this season on their decision to fly ahead on Fridays, the fact is the Jets attempted this week to push back their flight to Seattle until Saturday.
You know, just to change things up. But their request was denied, and Mangini didn't care to elaborate yesterday. "Feel free to ask the airline," he said.
A spokeswoman for Delta Air Lines, which operates the Jets' charter this season, gave this response: "We worked to accommodate the New York Jets' request, although during this busy travel season our equipment is being fully utilized and last-minute changes to our schedule could impact other passengers' travel plans."
So don't think you're the only one who runs into problems trying to change a flight at the last minute, especially around the holidays.
